Sharing During Ramadan, Semen Gresik Provides Relief and Gifts to 384 Orphans in Rembang and Blora
Rembang, April 13th, 2023 – During Ramadan of 1444H, PT Semen Gresik, through its SG Peduli program, provided relief and gifts to 384 orphans. The activity was conducted at an event called Peringatan Nuzulul Quran dan Santunan Anak Yatim Piatu (Celebration of the Prophet’s First Revelation and Relief for the Orphans), which was held at Joglo Tani, Rembang Plant Site.
With representatives of PT Semen Gresik in attendance, the event was joined by orphans and representatives of religious leaders from the locality. The relief provided was in the form of cash and Ramadan gifts.
The Senior Manager of Communication and CSR of PT Semen Gresik, Dharma Sunyata, explained that the relief provided for the orphans through the SG Peduli program was a part of the company’s commitment to always providing benefits for every part of Rembang Regency’s society, particularly for the orphans during the blessed month of Ramadan.
“We are committed to always being present among the people, so that they may feel the blessings and the joy of this holy month with us,” Dharma stated.
He continued that the SG Peduli program was expected to motivate the orphans in the locality of PT Semen Gresik’s Rembang plant site so that they would always be optimistic about their future.
He also hoped that the relief program could create synergy and harmony between the company and the communities surrounding the company and living in the villages of Kajar, Tegaldowo, Pasucen, Timbrangan, Kadiwono (of Rembang Regency), and Ngampel (of Blora Regency).
Meanwhile, one of the recipients from Kajar, Ramadan, expressed his delight and gratitude for the relief and gifts. “I’m very grateful and happy with the relief and lebaran gifts from Semen Gresik,” said one of the children coming from Kajar, Rembang.
